Food Industry Executive Gil Horsky Launches $80M AgriFood Tech Fund

As reported in an article published by ‘The Circuit’, Gil Horsky, once immersed in the realm of large food & beverage brands, such as: Pepsi & Oreo, and most recently co-founding the Mondelēz corporate venture investment (CVC) and innovation hub, SnackFutures, has shifted gears to co-founded a new venture capital firm, FLORA Ventures (www.floravc.com), that focuses on investing in AgriFood Tech startups that food that is good for people and kind to the planet.

This new Tel Aviv-based VC fund had a first closing of $50 million and is on target to reach a total fund size of $80 million. FLORA Ventures will invest in agrifood companies prioritizing human and planetary health. Their first investment is in a stealth company, Arrakis Bio, developing animal-free collagen and gelatin, which Gil Horsky will join as a Board Member.
