Gil Horsky on AgFunder: “We’re looking to invest in companies and proof-test them with the Kibbutzim as a design partner”

As published on AgFunder, FLORA Ventures, a new $80 million AgriFood VC fund. The fund is investing across the entire agrifood value chain, and focuses on ventures from Europe and Israel. The innovative Israeli Kibbutzim is an anchor investor alongside Haifa Group, a leading fertilizer and plant nutrition company, and Harel Group, Israel’s largest financial services company.

FLORA’s founding partner, Gil Horsky, highlights the natural alignment between the fund’s vision and the Kibbutzim’s values. Over 185 Kibbutzim, united as a singular investor in FLORA’s fund, representing an annual agricultural output surpassing $3 billion.
